January 2022 was in fact the second driest in 122 years (since 1900), with only 6 mm measured
The previous record was at the start of the 80’s drought when a mere 5.5 mm was measured.
The absolute terrible news is that the seasonal forecast (to be released in the next few days) shows BELOW normal rainfall for this region until July
Saving water must be a priority for all at this stage
