VACANCY

(TRAFFIC AND LICENSING SERVICES)

POSITION CODE: 7072

TASK Grade 5 (R137 124 – R190 668 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

In compliance with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Employment Equity Plan, preference will be given to suitably qualified African/Coloured/White/Indian (male/female) applicants. 

Requirements: 

 

  •          An appropriate level of Secondary Education.
  •         Computer literacy – Microsoft Office Applications.
  •         Up to six months’ general administrative experience.
 Competencies:  

·         Must be computer literate. 

Job purpose: 

 

  •  Performing administrative tasks/activities associated with controlling the registering, processing and filing incoming/outgoing correspondence, and attending to telephone queries to facilitate and support the recording and updating of information.
  • Supervising the processing of different categories of incoming mail/correspondence, documents, recording details in the relevant registers, and capturing information on the database.
  • Providing statistical information of workflow processes for management and control purposes.
  • Monitoring the recording of miscellaneous remittances in the applicable register for processing by the cashiers.  

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
