Festive Season shutdown of municipal contact centres

As people across the world use this time of year to recuperate and come together as families, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will also give its employees a well-deserved break over the festive season.

At its meeting on 1 December 2016, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipal Council resolved that the Christmas and New Year shutdown is between 28 December 2016 and 6 January 2017 except for essential services and the Budget and Treasury Customer Care Centres.

The following services will therefore be affected as follows:

Driving License Testing Centres

The Driving License Testing Centre at Korsten and Uitenhage will close at 10h30 on Friday 23 December 2016 and re-open on Wednesday 4 January 2017.

Libraries

All libraries will be closed from Thursday, 22 December until Friday, 6 January and re-open on Monday, 9 January 2017.

However, our digital library is still accessible for library card holders on a 24 hour basis at the following link: https://nmbm.overdrive.com/.

Customer Care Centres

Customer Care Centres will be closed on public holidays such as Christmas and New Years Day.
