ELECTRICITY INTERRUPTION ON 21 OCTOBER 2018

Residents are advised of a proposed electricity shutdown on SUNDAY, 21 OCTOBER 2018, between the hours of 08h00 and 16h00, in various areas of Nelson Mandela Bay, caused by the temporary shutdown of the College Drive Substation, to allow repairs and maintenance to be carried out on a local transformer.  

Areas affected: Mill Park, St. Georges Park (only end of College Drive Road), Glendinningvale, Greenacres, Scotstown.

Streets affected: Ascot Road, Barris Walk Street, Bradshaw Street, Churchill Road, College Drive, Conyngham Road, Cape Road, Dene Road, Fairford Road, Highbeech Road, Lenox Street, McLean Road, Mill Park Road, Mortimer Road, Nightingale Street, Ramsay Lane, Salisbury Avenue, Wares Road, Way Avenue, Wembley Road, Westview Drive, Woodville Road, Young Road. 

All installations must be treated as live for the duration of the outage. - Apologies are tendered for any inconvenience caused.

Holiday workshops: CREATIVE ART & CRAFT WORKSHOPS

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum is offering exciting holiday workshops for children and the family during the holidays.

HAND MADE ARTY GIFTS

Imagine the gifts you can make for your family and friends!  Join us to make gifts such as pictures, cards, books, jewellery and picture frames.  A variety of materials will be available to choose from like beads, wool, strings, paints, paper, wire and glitter.  You are welcome to bring an object to decorate or transform.

14 December 2015: Family  

EXPLORING WITH CLAY

Learn more about different clay techniques such as modelling, slabbing, coiling, carving and pinching.

6 January 2016: Children aged 7-15 years
7 January 2016: Children aged 7-15 years
8 January 2016: Family 

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

·         Venue: Art Museum at 1 Park Drive Central Port Elizabeth.

·         Time: 9h00-12h00 

·         Workshop cost: R30 per child per workshop.

Family workshops will cost: R 40 cash for 1 parent and 1 child.  R 50 cash for 1 adult and 2 children. R 60 cash for 1 adult and 3 children.

The cost includes all materials. 

·         Please provide own lunch.

·         Children to wear old clothes or to bring an apron, an old shirt or T-shirt to cover their clothing.
